Drills
The Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet
Club will host a series of tournament drills from 9–11am
Monday–Friday the week of the tournament. These intense
drills will be conducted by the same pros that teach our
World Class Academy.
Entry into the tournament gives you 1/2 OFF these drills
(reg. $50/day; $25 each)
Rules
All USTA rules will apply. The 15-minute default rule will
be enforced. Warm-up will be limited to 5 minutes. Regular
scoring will be used. Best 2-of-3 sets. A 7-point tie-break
will be used in any set.
Courts
The clay courts at the Van Der Meer Shipyard Tennis Resort
will be used for all divisions except the Open divisions,
which will be played on hard courts. (In case of inclement
weather, scoring and surface may change at discretion of
the Tournament Director)
Ball
The official tournament ball is Dunlop®.
Draw
Players are limited to two (2) events: one (1) singles
and one (1) doubles, or two (2) doubles. Draws with 4 or
fewer entrants will be played in a Round Robin format. The
draw will be posted on Tuesday. Players may call 843.686.8804
after 5pm on Tuesday for match times.
Reminder
Entry fee must accompany application. Make check or money
order payable to Van Der Meer Tennis. Only one name per
entry form. Entering your doubles partner’s name on
your entry does not enter him/her in the tournament.
Prizes
Super cool prizes will be awarded to winners and finalists
in each division of 4 or more. What are they, you ask? Well,
come play, win, and find out!
