drop shot is probably the stroke most misused by
players, but when you learn when and how to use
it, you will have added to your arsenal of winning
opportunities.
The
trick in playing a drop shot is to hit the ball
on the rise so the arc is highest on your side
of the net. This ensures that the ball is descending
when it reaches the other side of the net. Your
opponent then has to run quickly forward to pick
it up, and you have the option of passing or lobbing.
