Mercersburg
Academy is recognized as one of the top prep schools in the
country with facilities that rival any in the nation. The Smoyer
Tennis Center is a 14 court state-of-the-art complex and is
complimented with a 10,000 square foot triple-gymnasium, a fitness
center, a 9-lane swimming pool, 8 outdoor athletic fields and
both an indoor and outdoor track.
Conveniently
located, well supervised, air-conditioned dorms and the dining
hall are central to the sense of well being that is created
for the 10 to 18 year old co-ed camper.

The academy
is located in south central Pennsylvania about mid-way between
Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and about 90 minutes from the
Baltimore, MD, Washington, DCand Harrisburg, PA metro areas.

Van
Der Meer’s personally trained, PTR professionals will cover
stroke production with video analysis, supervised matchplay,
competitive drilling and tactical sessions. The clinics are
open to all ability levels. Participants are grouped according
to ability level. Students can elect to be housed on campus
or choose to commute.

Please
be sure to check with your respective airlines regarding their
policies for releasing minors at destination airports if their
camper is younger than 15 years old. We do not have the capability
to meet or pick up campers at the Mercersburg Airport and
many airline carriers are informing us that, for security
reasons, they will only release juniors younger than age 15
to a specified person who can present picture identification
to a gate agent at the time of pick up.
